Intro to Hand Building

Join me for Intro to Hand Building / Slabs, a laid-back, hands-on class where we'll dive into the basics of clay forms. During this 4 week class, you will make a trinket dish, ceramic mug or planter, and a stiff slab lidded box while learning to use GR Forms, ceramic stamps, and templates. During week 4 you'll also get to finish your pieces with glaze. It's all about learning the essentials at a comfortable pace, getting messy, and having fun with clay.

Ages 6 and up!

DETAILS:

  • Class sessions are 4 weeks long.

  • Small class sizes: Max 4 students per class!

  • Each class is 3 hours long.

  • $90 fee includes 25 pounds of clay, use of studio tools, glazes and firing.

NOVEMBER SESSIONS:

  • Session 1: Mondays from 6-9pm

    • November 3, 10, 17, 24

  • Session 2: Tuesdays from 6-9pm

    • November 11, 18, 25, and Dec 2

IMPORTANT INFO:

  • Classes are held in our studio at 830 Monmouth St., Newport KY 41071.

  • Please be aware, our studio is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Classes start promptly. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

  • Cancellations allowed up to 1 week before first class. Later cancellations will not receive a refund.
