Intro to the Pottery Wheel

Join me for Intro to the Pottery Wheel, a laid-back, 4 Week class where we'll dive into the basics of wheel throwing. Whether you're brand new or just want to brush up on your skills, we'll cover the essentials—centering your clay, throwing cylinders, pulling walls, trimming your pieces, and finishing them with glazing. It's all about learning the essentials at a comfortable pace, getting messy, and having fun with clay.

Session:

It's all about learning the essentials at a comfortable pace, getting messy, and having fun with clay.

DETAILS:

  • Class sessions are 4 weeks long.

  • Small class sizes: Just two students per class!

  • Each class is 3 hours long. Two hours of instruction and 1 hour of guided practice.

  • $90 fee includes 25 pounds of clay, use of studio tools, glazes and firing.

 

NOVEMBER SESSIONS

  • Session 1: Wednesdays from 9am-12pm

    • Nov 5, 12, 19, 26 (Mornings)

  • Session 2: Wednesdays from 6-9pm

    • Nov 5, 12, 19, 26 (Evenings)

  • Session 3: Thursdays from 6-9pm

    • Nov 6, 13, 20, Dec 4 (Evenings)

IMPORTANT INFO:

  • Classes are held in our studio at 830 Monmouth St., Newport KY 41071.

  • Please be aware, our studio is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Classes start promptly. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

  • Cancellations allowed up to 1 week before first class. Later cancellations will not receive a refund.
